A bit of Roma

My wish was to quickly edit some nice pictures to post here, but honestly there is no time! I still have a photoshoot from Bristol that I need to finish editing, plus the enourmous amount of work I have been having recently - registering, cathing up with Visual Culture lectures, emails everywhere, all too much! So basically just wanted to update some random ready-to-go photos for you curious people out there to have a look at.

My favourite by far, is this lovely gay flag outside the Vatican, saying "Pace" (peace).

Then some lovely shots that sort of represent nicely Vatican's poorness:

The amazing changes of weather in Roma: from lovely and sunny to rainy and stormy. Just like that!

The Vittoriano, by far is the one that has the most "Wow" factor, but it is also the biggest representation of the fascist era in Italy. There are plenty of sights that remind us of fascist days, from entire neighbourhoods to "M" shaped buildings, but this one is, in my opinion, the most weirdly beautiful one...

The famous Colosseo, which is by far much more beautiful by night than during day-time...

The outstanding fountain sculptures those guys have round there... this one is in Piazza Navona.

The Pantheon, by night. This thing is HUGE, and it is even older that the Colosseo!

Colosseo, by day. I think it is a shame they are rebuilding it... I think historical places should be kept "historical". But that's just me...

My favourite moment in Roma: a gladiator being fined by a Carabineri. For the price they charge just to appear in photos, they should all be arrested!!!

Fontana di Trevi, you pop a coin, make a wish, and hope for it to come true. Another option is just for you to WORK HARD to make things happen!

And these are the guys that basically try to sell you everything, from the Colosseo to the things that you already own.

And that was Roma... really summarized!
